You can copy in a jiffy, if you have two buttons: One for black and one for color copies. Most contestants have that, except for Kodak and Lexmark. They compel you to wander through a menu, even if you just want a plain black copy. And if you push the "Copy"-button, you get a color copy, advantageous only for the manufacturer.
That´s convenient: All contestants copy with the PC off.
To test copy-quality and -speed the lab uses a plain page of text. It is copied in black and in normal quality. The second testdocument is a photo (size A4) which is copied in high quality. For both we use plain reprographic paper.
