Kommt man beim 8600 N911g ebenfalls wie oben beschrieben (Power 5 sec halten .....) in das versteckte Servicemenü?
Danke und Grüße
We have a 8500 A Plus printer, in wich paper (really) jam to the output. I tested several things that I found on the Internet before this site, and got them printed, but only one page, which remains unfinished leaving. If sent to print more than one page it jams, and too jam if you try to print in duplex. After much searching I found your video to reset (Thank's!) and I've tried but so far the problem continues.
I suspect that the machine "thinks" that the paper is smaller than it actually has always placed (DIN A-4) and therefore do not push it out completely, the wheels stops when the printer "thinks" is finished out. This seems to be confirmed after applying some resets of your post, when after resetting the fax, has left me a warning that "this test can not be performed with small paper". Does anyone know how I could access the paper size set by default? I accessed both from the desktop application as via IP from the router, but apparently the format chosen is correct: A4.
The error must be internal.
does the paper jam occur in the document feeder (ADF) or in the printer itself? Have you checked for paper shavings inside the paper path? Often there are small snippets of paper left in the printer which are the cause of paper jams.
You should install the latest firmware which you'll get here: ftp.hp.com/...
Let me know if it helps.
Florian
Usually the printer should be able to "see" if there's paper inside or not. If this doesn't work properly then maybe one of these little sensors is dirty, misplaced or just misguided.
Have you tried different paper? Maybe it's too thin or slick. Normal copy paper should have at least 80 g/m2.
P.S. if your english is bad then you can write in german or even austrian ;-)
