Comparative Test Color Lasers up to 700 Euros: Vendor warranty

Vendor warranty is a striking argument for a purchase decision. Brother and Oki offer three years on all printers (after registration), Samsung only for business printers. With a Kyocera you get two years. HP seems to have little confidence in their products, warranty is just one year.

Brother, Kyocera, Oki , and Samsung provide an on-site-service. To obtain warranty service with HP, you have to return the product to the place of purchase at your own expense. At HP’s option, HP will either replace products that prove to be defective or refund your purchase price.
