Test Color laser Samsung CLP-310n: Cost of print
We do not count on information given by manufacturers. Our lab checks the cost of print by using standardized documents. A complete set of cartridges is used until empty or the printer refuses to continue printing.
If a printer has several exchangeable cartridges, we determine the unused toner with a precision scale, and consider their value when calculating the cost of print. Other consumables are included, determining the proportionate use.

The black toner CLT-K4092S has a supposed yield of 1.500 pages with a coverage according to ISO/IEC 19798
, which is less than five percent. DC´s testdocument dc_leerdruck_5p has a coverage of exactly five percent.
The black cartridge is available for about 39 Euros (MSRP). It prints 1.051 pages, then the print begins to desaturate.
You will not notice that, if you do not watch the printing process very closely, since the pages land "face down" in the paper tray. Only a look into the "Smart panel" or on the printer´s control panel informs you, that the cartridge is empty.
Including all consumables and their proportionate use we find a price of expensive 4,3 Cents for one page of text.
Cost of print: Color
A complete set of toner (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) will cost you about 145 Euros (MSRP). Yield has been calculated by Samsung according to ISO/IEC 19798.
After printing 156 pages the picture begins to fade, print continues, however. There is a short message on the screen, which you can easily overlook. If you look at the "Smart panel", you find the message "Replace toner" (Yellow).
Including all consumables and their proportionate use we find a price of expensive 69 Cents for one page A4 in color.
The predecessors (CLP-300er models) printed less expensive.
