Comparative Test nine Low Cost Colorlasers: Consumables
Lexmark C500n: Cartridge with starter-toner.What a nuisance: Many printers ship with low-capacity starter toner, some with less than 50 percent of normal capacity (both Lexmarks, Dell, Oki, and HP 1600) or 70 percent respectively (Samsung, Xerox).
Worst example is Lexmark`s C500n, it ships with a black cartridge for 1.000 pages, replacements for sale have a capacity of 5.000 pages.
Pick of the bunch is HP`s Color Laserjet 2700, which ships with full capacity (6,500 black, 3.500 pages color).
Same with Canon`s i-Sensys LBP5000, it comes with well-filled cartridges (2.500 pages black, 2.000 pages color).
