Quality of print: Photos
To test quality of photo-printing, our lab sends a photo of A4-size to the printers. It is a TIFF-file, 11.627 KByte in size, dimensions 2.362 x 3.307 pixels.
A compressed JPG-version of this file can be downloaded here: DC Testfiles.
Photo print: Parrot
To assess quality of photo print, and scrutinizing colors, sharpness of contrast, and resolution, our lab displays a scan of the blue-yellow parrot (picture right side).

Canon Pixma iP100 deliveres flawless photos. On the HP Officejet H470 we use two different ink cartridges, and perform several manual print head adjustments, but there are streaks in every photo. We assume the printer has a bug. Apart from that HP´s mobile print fine photos, but doesn´t quite come up to the Canon´s quality of print.
Skin tones
To assess attention to detail and reproduction of skin tones, our lab shows a clip of the Fuji-testfile and the small eye in the center of DC´s A4 test photo.
