Comparative Test: Eleven multifunction printers

In this test DC evaluates eleven AIO´s in a price range from 90 to 300 Euros. Differences in layout, speed of print, and, most of all, cost of print are huge. DC assists in choosing the appropriate AIO.

Power consumption

Measuring device: Determine your power consumption.

Our lab tests current drain of AIO´s in stand-by mode and also in switched off mode ("apparent off").

The table shows the power consumption in watts, grossed up for one year, assuming an electricity rate of 19 Cents per kilowatt hour.

If you want to test your own equipment like printer, PC, monitor, TV, and so on, you can rent a measuring device here.

Apparent off: The printer is switched off, but connected to the grid
Stand-by: The printer is switched on - the lab measures power consumption after 30 minutes idleness
