Power requirements

DC determines power consumption of both printers in standby and while printing a 100-page PDF document. HP´s printer consumes merely 3 watt-hours, Samsung´s color-laser 74 for the 100-page PDF file.

The much higher power consumption is a result of the high power demand of the fuser unit and the Samsung´s considerably longer time it needs for the printout (HP: 18 minutes, Samsung: 43 minutes).
